Get answers to common questions about Closure Sew-In.

With proper care and timely salon maintenance, a quality closure sew-in can last 6–10 weeks. Lifespan depends on hair quality, adhesive, and daily handling; schedule touch-ups every 4–6 weeks to maintain neatness and protect natural hair.

When installed by our trained stylists with proper braiding tension and a breathable closure, sew-ins protect hair by eliminating daily manipulation. Damage risk increases with excessive tightness or neglect; follow aftercare and regular adjustments to keep hair healthy.

Yes — you can gently wash and style your sew-in. Use sulfate-free shampoo, dilute when cleansing, and dry thoroughly to prevent odor. Avoid heavy oils near the closure and limit heat to maintain the integrity of extensions and the closure base.

We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before swimming to allow the closure and sewing to settle. For saltwater or chlorinated pools, wear a swim cap and rinse hair immediately after swimming to prevent tangling and chemical damage to extensions.

We provide lace closures (transparent and HD), silk closures, and varying sizes (4x4, 5x5). Our stylists will help select the right texture and color match to achieve a seamless, natural-looking hairline tailored to your desired style.

Wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet to reduce friction. Braid or loose-twist extensions before sleeping and apply a light leave-in serum on ends only. Avoid heavy oils near the closure and refresh edges as needed.
